PKD Workflow
Kidney volume, Mayo class, and longitudinal growth tracking
Measure kidney and cyst volumes, classify Mayo class 1A-1E, and track growth over time for PKD.
Report outputs
Organ Volume
Measures total kidney volume (TKV), individual kidney volumes, and liver volume from organ segmentation masks.
Renal Cysts Volume
Measures total cyst volume and individual cyst burden for left and right kidneys from cyst segmentation masks.
Mayo Classification
Classifies ADPKD using Mayo class 1A-1E based on height-adjusted TKV and age.
Longitudinal Report
Recomputes longitudinal growth trends from saved measurements and segmentation artifacts using validated timepoint thresholds.
Segmentation outputs
- Image data
- Accepts abdominal MRI or CT as DICOM files, DICOM ZIP, DICOM folder, or NIfTI volume.
- Basic subject info
- Requires pseudo subject name, birth year, and height for PKD outputs. Sex, diagnosis notes, and an optional transition date for longitudinal trend comparison can also be collected.
- Study metadata
- Study month and year help when imaging metadata is incomplete so Mayo context and longitudinal trend views line up correctly across timepoints.
How to use
- 1
Create a subject and upload an abdominal MRI or CT study with workflow type PKD.
- 2
Study analysis segments organs and renal cysts automatically and generates the study report.
- 3
Longitudinal stage now recomputes kidney growth and trend metrics from saved segmentations and study intake.
- 4
Review results on the study detail page and download the stage-generated report.
- 5
Upload follow-up studies for the same subject to enable longitudinal reporting.
